Perilous by Tamara Heiner - Countdown to Christmas 2010

19 days until Christmas!

Tamara Hart Heiner lives in Arkansas with her husband and three children. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. She teaches English in the mornings and spends the rest of the day avoiding the laundry and other chores, all in the name of parenting. Sometimes she gets to sit down in front of the computer and write for a few hours.

Perilous is Tamara's first novel. You can visit Tamara on her website: Tamara Hart Heiner, her blog: Chasing Dreams, on Facebook and on Twitter @tamaraheiner.

LDSWBR: What author/book had the most impact on you this year?

TAMARA: This year would have to be Suzanne Collins with
Mockingjay.

LDSWBR: What books are you giving/asking for this Christmas?

TAMARA: My list is very long but I have the feeling I'll be buying them for myself. To name a few: Fablehaven 5, The Peasant Queen, Paranormalcy, The Lost Saint.

LDSWBR: If you could only participate in one Holiday activity or tradition this year, what would it be?

TAMARA: Telling the Christmas story on Christmas Eve.

LDSWBR: Eggnog or warm apple cider?

TAMARA: Warm apple cider.

LDSWBR: Thank you, Tamara, for helping us countdown to Christmas.

Perilous by Tamara Hart Heiner (WiDo Publishing; Nov 2010) is available for purchase through Amazon. The ebook is $4.99; paperback is $14.95.

Is reading the Christmas story a tradition for you like it is for Tamara? If so, is there a special place or time that you always read the Christmas story?

  1. When the kids were smaller we would act out the Nativity on Christmas Eve. We love it when we can get together with extended family and everyone gets a part. If we don't act it out, we definitely make time to read it. It's just a good reminder of what Christmas is really about in the middle of a lot of secular fun. Hi, Tamara! *waves*

  2. My kids and their cousins act out the Nativity while grandma reads it. I love teaching the kids about the true meaning of Christmas. They have fun and get to hear the story at the same time. :)
