The Canticle Kingdom by Michael Young - Countdown to Summer 2010

20 days until the
first day of summer!

Michael is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in German Teaching and a minor in Music. He lives in Utah with his wife, Jen, and his son Jarem. Michael enjoys writing fiction, acting in community theater, and spend ing time with his family. He played for several years with the handbell choir Bells on Temple Square and is now a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Visit Michael's websites HERE and HERE, as well as his blog: The Canticle.

LDSWBR: Michael, what activities do you and your family participate in every summer? Do you have plans to try something or go somewhere new this year?

MICHAEL: This year we're pretty tied up with work, but looking forward to doing a pioneer day concert with the Tabernacle Choir and visiting St. George at the end of summer to celebrate our anniversary, with visiting the outlet malls, eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant and seeing a show at the Tuachan Theater.

LDSWBR: Do you have a favorite summer food or drink? If so, are you willing to share the recipe?

MICHAEL: No real favorite here.

LDSWBR: What books are on your summer reading list?

MICHAEL: I'm going to read Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy, as well as The Undaunted by Gerald Lund.

LDSWBR: Thank you, Michael!

The Canticle Kingdom by Michael Young (Bonneville Books; Feb 2010) is available for purchase from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Deseret Book and Borders.

Have you ever seen the Tabernacle Choir perform live? If you've had the opportunity to visit St. George, UT, what activities did you enjoy while you were there?
